With the Summer Solstice just behind us, Friday, June 21, is the first day of Summer. The longest day of the year is here, and with it the official start of summer.
Happy Solstice. And happy summer. Here are a couple ideas for celebrating:
Eat out at one of the restaurants with the best views in the world.
Eat in with these delicious vegetarian grilling recipes… after visiting the farmers’ market.
Take a dip in a natural swimming pool. (And whether you swim at home, at a public beach or on a remote shoreline accessible only by kayak, heed these swimming safety tips.)
Get the kids and join a citizen science project.
Plant a wildlife-friendly bird garden.
Whatever you do, don’t forget the natural sunscreen.
